Learning French That Actually Sticks

We’re Parlons Français Learning Inc., and we’ve been teaching beginner French to Canadians since 2018. What started as a small idea became something we’re genuinely proud of — a place where real learning happens.

How We Got Here

It started with frustration, honestly. One of our founders was learning French and hit a wall — generic apps, textbooks that felt disconnected from real life, and zero chance to actually speak with someone. So she started teaching informally. Within a year, there was a waitlist.

Today we’ve trained over 1,200 people across Canada. Not because we’re perfect, but because we focus on what actually works. We don’t overwhelm beginners with grammar rules. We don’t make you memorize vocabulary lists you’ll never use. We teach the French you actually need, in the way your brain actually learns it.

Our instructors aren’t just fluent — they’ve been where you are. They’ve struggled with pronunciation, felt awkward speaking for the first time, and figured out the shortcuts that work. That experience shapes everything we do at Parlons Français Learning Inc.

Our Three Pillars

We’ve stripped away what doesn’t work and built our French course around three core principles that actually make a difference for beginners.

Speaking From Day One

Silence doesn’t build confidence. In our beginner French courses, you’re speaking in the first lesson. It’s uncomfortable at first, yes. But that’s where the real learning happens. You’ll be surprised how quickly the words come.

Practical, Not Theoretical

We teach you how to order food, have small talk, understand a menu, ask for directions. Real scenarios. Real conversations. By the end of the beginner level, you won’t just understand French — you’ll be able to use it in actual situations.

Small Groups That Matter

We keep groups between 6-10 people. It’s intimate enough that instructors notice when you’re stuck, but big enough that you’re learning from others. No one gets lost. No one gets left behind.

What We Stand For

Patience Over Pressure

Language learning isn’t a race. We don’t push you faster than you’re ready. Your pace is our pace.

Clarity First

Complex explanations don’t help beginners. We break everything down until it makes sense. Questions are encouraged.

Community Matters

You’re not just a student. You’re part of a group of people who chose to learn something difficult together.

Real Progress

We measure success by what you can actually do with French, not by test scores or completion certificates.
